Feather Sessions is a series of long-term camps organized with support from the Taipei City Department of Education and local community churches. We started teaching Arduino in the early years, exposing students to real-world engineering practices through hands-on robotics and STEAM education for elementary school and middle school students. We honed our course designs through the years, and in recent years, we transitioned to combining EV3 robotics with the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) platform, guiding students through groups to design, build, and code robots that can accomplish a variety of tasks.
Throughout the year, we built up students' technical skills in robotics, programming, and engineering, but maybe more significantly, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills—skills that will benefit them far into the future. With the guidance of our outreach team, students showcase their projects through friendly competitions or demonstrations at the end of each session, celebrating their achievement and what they have learned. Feather Sessions has come a long way, fueling innovation, creativity, and teamwork, empowering the next generation of innovators and thinkers. We are excited to expand this program further, sharing our dream with more individuals within our community and beyond.
