History
FRC Team 7589, Lishan Blue Magpie, was founded in 2018 by four teachers at Taipei Municipal Lishan High School: physics teacher Chialong Chin, computer science teacher Hsin-Yi Ho, and English teachers Shuhan Chang and Chaoying Tu.
We started with just a few passionate students, but quickly grew. Today, Lishan Blue Magpie consists of nearly 40 students from Lishan High School and nearby schools.
Our team is mentored by teachers, alumni, and industry professionals, supporting by a growing network of nearly 100 alumni. Together, we continue to carry forward the spirit of FIRST that launched our journey, and to share our love for what we do.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to transform how students learn—encouraging them to lead with initiative, think critically and creatively, and gain real-world experience through hands-on challenges. We equip students with the skills to solve meaningful problems and shape the future of STEAM.
In a student-led, mentor-supported environment, we foster innovation, teamwork, and community engagement.
